What Not To Do When Recruiting Talent

A straightforward list of everything you shouldn’t do as a Recruiter, from a Recruiter.

I hired for Meta, Netflix, Peloton, Abbvie, Morgan Stanley, Reytheon, Cruise, Slack, WeightWatchers & Amazon to name a few, and these are the sins we, Recruiters, tend to commit every once in a while. The employer name might be different, but the attitude is the same.

Disclaimer: This article might look negative. Remember, these are the sins so the tone is on the negative side.. for fun.

Not GOAT; we Ghost, and we Ghost in style.
The abundance of overqualified candidates in the market following the layoffs makes it super easy for us, Recruiters, to replace any candidate at any time. Even if we love you so much, even if you memorized the names of my 2 kids through the course of the 7 interviews you conducted with the team, we will still ghost you in a heartbeat, and I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but we won’t even flinch.
